Bingham University
Bingham Post-UTME: you will have to go there in person
Screening is two steps, and the second one is in person
Register online first, then bring the printed documents to the university. We still can’t confirm the closing date, so ask before you book anything.
Last checked: 9 September 2026
Bingham’s screening ends with you standing in Karu, Nasarawa State. That’s the part worth knowing first, because it’s the part that costs money and can’t be done the night before. You register online, the portal produces documents, you print them, and you take them to the university yourself.
The general cutoff is around 150, with Medicine and Law set higher. That’s the ordinary pattern for a private university, a general floor that isn’t especially high with the two competitive professional programmes well above it.
This page is still shorter than the ones we’ve written for FULAFIA and NSUK, and that’s deliberate. Two things about Bingham we haven’t been able to establish, and they’re below rather than smoothed over.
What we know, and what we don’t
- General cutoff
- Around 150.
- Medicine and Law
- Higher than the general figure. We didn’t find a specific number we’re willing to print.
- Screening format
- Two steps. You register online, then print what the portal generates and bring it to the university in person.
- Screening deadline
- Not confirmed. We didn’t find a date for this session that we could stand behind.
How Bingham screening actually works
It’s two steps, and the second one is a journey. You complete registration online through the portal. The portal then generates your documents, and those have to be printed and brought to the university in person for the physical part of screening.
This is how Bingham has consistently done it, year to year, so it isn’t something to re-check each session. If you’ve read that Bingham has no physical screening, that was wrong rather than out of date. We said the same thing here in a different way, telling you we couldn’t confirm it either way, and that’s now settled.
So plan for the trip to Karu as part of the process rather than as a possibility. What you still can’t plan is when, because the closing date is the thing we haven’t been able to confirm. Get that from us before you book transport or accommodation.
Looking for the deadline?
We’re not stating one, because we didn’t find a date for this session we could verify. Private universities commonly run longer or rolling windows, but “commonly” isn’t the same as “yours does”, and an inference isn’t a date. Message us and we’ll confirm the current window before you rely on it.
Applying for Medicine or Law?
Both sit above the general 150, and we’re deliberately not printing a figure we couldn’t verify. If your score is in the range where the exact cutoff decides your case, that’s worth confirming rather than inferring from the general number. Message us before you pay anything.
One honest caveat
Everything above was last checked on 9 September 2026. The screening format used to be on our unknown list and no longer is, but the closing date and the Medicine and Law cutoffs still are, and settling one thing doesn’t make us more certain about the other two. If you’ve seen a Bingham deadline or cutoff stated somewhere with confidence, message us and we’ll check it rather than assume it’s wrong.
Where people actually get this wrong
With a private university, the usual mistake is assuming the window is long because private universities usually have long windows, then discovering it wasn’t. The second is treating the online registration as the whole thing, and leaving the trip to Karu until there isn’t time to make it. Both come from filling a gap with something reasonable instead of asking.
Message us for the date before you book the trip
You will need to be in Karu. What this page can’t tell you is when, and that’s the half that costs money to guess at: transport and a night’s accommodation booked around a date nobody confirmed. Ask us for the current window first. If you want us to handle the application as well, that’s Post-UTME / School Application Assistance, ₦3,500 plus the university’s own fee.
We reply 8am to 8pm, every day.
